Peter Carr has nearly two decades of experience handling complex litigation in the trial and appellate courts. As a member of the litigation practice group at Ahmad and Zaffarese, he delivers the highest level of professional excellence on behalf companies, individuals, and government entities in all manner of cases, including commercial litigation, labor and employment matters, and civil rights lawsuits.

Prior to joining Ahmad and Zaffarese, Peter was an assistant district attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he supervised the office’s civil litigation unit and simultaneously served as a senior member of the appeals unit. While at the District Attorney’s Office, Peter was responsible for overseeing the office’s civil rights, employment, and consumer protection cases, including multi-million dollar class action litigation and groundbreaking pharmaceutical litigation. He also was one of the most prolific appellate attorneys in Pennsylvania, serving as lead counsel in approximately 750 state and federal appeals, including more than 30 merits-stage appeals before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Known for his thoughtful approach to the practice of law, Peter serves on the advisory boards of two leading treaties published by LexisNexis: Ohlbaum on the Pennsylvania Rules of Evidence; and Pennsylvania Civil Discovery. In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing poker, and attempting home improvement projects.
